Lyudmila Deineko is a master of silk ribbon craft, most interesting is that she had never done any creative work, she first worked in sales and then moved to an Insurance Company in Perm, Russia where she held the position of Regional Director for 7 years.
Whilst in a book store she was drawn to a book by Helen Gibb, entitled ‘Fine Ribbon Flower’ which introduced her to the creative work of ribbon craft and she was hooked, she searched for other teaching tools, internet, books etc. and step by step she created her own style, she mainly embroiders on prints and is known for her exquisite roses, which are inspired by one of her favourite artists, Sonia Ames.
Lyudmila sell her work to supplement her pension, she takes great pleasure and satisfaction in reading the positive feedback which lifts her spirits and knowing that her work makes peoples happy.
Now Lyudmila cannot imagine her life without being creative, it has brought her great joy and a sense of achievement.
